WHO IS FINANCELAB?
FinanceLab is voluntary student organization run by ambitious and dedicated students
The organization is lead by a board comprising of passionate volunteer students. In collaboration with senior board advisors (former board members), the board has the responsibility of running and growing the organization on a day-to-day basis.
Founded in 2006, FinanceLab is one of the largest and most well-known student organisations in Denmark. FinanceLab is a non-profit organisation based on volunteer students, and we cover all major universities and colleges in Denmark with over 2,600 registered members. This makes us the prime point of contact between the financial industry and the academic world.
The organisation rests on three pillars: Education, Network and Performance.
The first pillar, Education, gives students interested in finance the opportunity to sharpen their skill set and increase their knowledge beyond academics. To do this, we offer a range of extracurricular activities, such as courses and lectures with speakers from both the academic and professional world. Since people and relationships are at the core of finance, our second pillar is Network.
Our annual Study Trip enables the top-performing students to create a network in London and get that extra edge needed to land an internship or full-time offer within the financial industry. The third pillar, Performance, enables the students to gain practical experience with real-life corporate finance and capital markets. This is facilitated through a proprietary investment fund with approximately 100,000 DKK in AUM, managed by 15 carefully selected students.
In essence, we ease the transition from being a student to becoming a professional in the financial industry.
